The malleable Gehrung pessary with a supporting membrane is primarily used for significant cystocele or rectocele, and second or third-degree uterine prolapse. The pessary can be manually shaped to accommodate individual anatomies. Use caution and follow doctor’s instructions before undergoing MRI.

 

Insertion

Manually squeeze the parallel limbs of this malleable U-shaped device closer together to narrow its entry profile, lubricate the closed, curved arch of the "U", and insert it obliquely past the introitus to navigate the anatomy comfortably. Once safely positioned inside, rotate the device so the open limbs point downward to span the vaginal canal laterally, allowing the closed arch to bridge across the anterior wall to form a wide lifting cradle for simultaneous cystocele and rectocele support without pushing directly on the cervix.
